1 month in London
So I've officially been in London for a month now, and it's been quite the experience. Some of my day-to-day learnings:
- never change at Bank
- Romanian electronic music artists (see here) are trending here as much as they are in the rest of Europe
- TFL could *really* create some official mobile apps, or at least a mobile version of its website
- the term "fag" gets thrown around quite a lot (but in a very non-homophobic way, here it means "cigarette")
- the UK has mastered the art of designing portable umbrellas
- the government seems to be pretty edgy concerning London's preparations for 2012 - I guess it will make New York's UN General Assembly opening week look like child's play
- London truly is the melting pot of the world (period)
- surprisingly enough, based on some of the campaigns I've noticed, I don't think anyone around here is actually expecting England to win the World Cup
