The games I want to play this fall

Gamesfall

It's no secret that I give my Xbox a run for its money every time I can - but it seems I've never taken the time to actually write a review or two. I'm hoping to change that.

In the meantime, here are the games I really want to have a go at this season. I've recently finished the Gears of War 3 single player campaign (brilliant) and am now on Deus Ex: The Human Revolution - but I'm really looking forward to:
Obviously they've all running huge campaigns, with loads of cinematic and gameplay trailers and all that - but here are a few interesting competitions I'd like to point out: the Battlefield Facebook page is running a check-in comp while the Assassin's Creed Facebook page seems to be running some sort of "AC in 60 seconds" video comp.

Xboxed Up

About a month ago I suddenly decided that it's time to get an Xbox to feed my craving for the wonderful world of gaming, which I have been ignoring ever since I ditched my N64 console over a decade ago.

I started off with Dead Space 2 and Halo: Reach, and then Ben brought me a few classics to catch up on: Bioshock, GTA IV, Modern Warfare 2 and Gears of War. Then I got Black Ops and finished the solo campaign in one weekend.

Needless to say, this now has a significant impact on my free time so I will most probably also do a game review every now and then.

As a side note, I find the dynamics of the gaming world to be quite intriguing - from the quite unconventional product life cycles and pricing schemes to the spin-off services and ultimately the surprisingly huge effect this all has on the entertainment industry overall...
